Gastronomy Workshop

5 Day Itinerary :

(Workshops of shorter durations are available)

Day 1: – Wednesday

Traditional Cretan Cooking lesson with Mrs Koula

Cook some traditional Cretan dishes and then enjoy a meal with your colleagues eating what you have just prepared.
You will be given copies of the recipes you have used to take with you.

Day 2: – Thursday

Walking tour (4 hours ) (easy)

A guided tour identifying wild flowers, herbs and local flora (including Daphne (Bay), Olive, Fig & Carob trees).  Picnic lunch included.

Day 3: Friday

Cretan Produce

After breakfast you will be taken to an Olive Oil pressing factory where you will be given a demonstration of the process, followed by an opportunity to taste the wonderful Cretan olive oil. You will then be driven to a winery for a tour followed by a wine tasting. Trained advisors will be on hand to answer your questions.

Cretan Food

Day 4: Saturday

Saturday Traditional Taverna

In the morning you will go to a cheese shop/factory to see the processes involved in making Cretan cheese. Afterwards you will be taken to the village of Tsitsifes, to one of the areas most traditional tavernas, where you will see the preparation of one or two local, seasonal dishes demonstrated, followed by lunch (included).

Sunday: Free Day

Day 5: Monday

2nd Traditional Cretan Cooking Lesson

As the workshop comes to an end you have another opportunity to take part in a cooking lesson with Mrs Koula. Again you will sit together to enjoy the meal you have created and maybe spend some time comparing the experiences you will take away with you not only from this workshop but also from this wonderful island.
