Course Tutor: Sara Gilding

Experience the unique landscape of Western Crete and capture something of its beauty in the images that you take.

Based in the beautiful area of Western Crete known as the Apokoronas, there will be plenty of photographic opportunities for photographers of all levels to develop their skills, including seascapes, mountain landscape, traditional Cretan villages, archeological sites, and a monastery.

This course will focus upon developing creative and compositional skills; understanding your camera settings and learning how to use the camera on settings other than auto; understanding how to approach the challenges presented by different light and atmospheric conditions; and developing confidence in composing and framing landscape photographs for greatest effect and impact. You will spend time out on location and some time back in the studio reviewing the photographs taken. Minimal time will be spent on post-editing techniques.
